Rafiqh ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile companion for Hajj and Umrah. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
• Profile and preferences you enter (such as name, country, gender, age, language, journey type, and Mina zone).
• Device location, if you grant permission, used solely for Hajj area awareness (Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamarat).
• Chat messages and display names you provide when using group or direct-message features.
• Anonymous usage data that may be collected by Expo or Firebase platform services.
We use the information above to run app features: guidance for your journey, maps and directions, prayer-related widgets, notifications, and chat. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.
Location may be used while the app is open and, if you allow it, in the background for boundary or awareness features during Hajj. Location is not stored permanently on our servers beyond what is necessary to deliver live features. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
The app may use services such as Google Firebase (authentication, database, and related infrastructure) and Expo / platform SDKs. These services have their own privacy policies. We use them only to deliver core app functionality.
Much of your setup and profile is stored on your device. Data you save to Firebase (for example chat messages and group membership) is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion by contacting us through the support channel in the app.
Rafiqh is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can adjust language and profile in Settings, control location and notification permissions in your device settings, and request account or data deletion by contacting us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
