By downloading, installing, or using Rafiqh ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users of the App worldwide.
Rafiqh is a mobile companion app designed to help pilgrims perform Hajj and Umrah. The App provides ritual step guidance, prayer times, maps, group and direct-message chat, location awareness, and notifications to support your spiritual journey.
All religious guidance, ritual instructions, schedules, and content within Rafiqh are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Rafiqh is not affiliated with any government authority, official Hajj ministry, or religious institution. The App does not replace the advice of qualified Islamic scholars, certified Hajj guides, or official Saudi Arabian authorities. Always verify critical information with authorised sources before and during your pilgrimage.
Certain features (group chat, DM messaging) require you to sign in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
You are solely responsible for any messages, names, or content you post in group chats or direct messages. You agree not to post content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, misleading, or in violation of applicable law. We may remove content or restrict access without notice if we determine it violates these Terms or harms other users.
Location access is optional. When granted, it is used to identify which Hajj area you are in (Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamarat) and to provide area-based guidance and alerts. We do not sell location data to third parties. Location data may be shared with Firebase infrastructure solely to deliver app functionality. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
Notification permission is optional. When granted, Rafiqh may send reminders related to Hajj ritual timing and important events. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure; (c) distribute spam, malware, or harmful content via chat features; (d) impersonate any person or entity; (e) reverse-engineer or copy the App or its content; or (f) use the App in a way that disrupts other users' experience.
All content, design, code, and features of Rafiqh are owned by or licensed to the App's developers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. User-generated content remains yours, but by posting it you grant us a licence to display it within the App.
Rafiqh is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always accurate. Prayer times, ritual schedules, and map data are best-effort and may differ from official sources. Use the App as a supplement, not a sole reference.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Rafiqh shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including missed rituals, navigation errors, or reliance on app content. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through the appropriate legal channels in the jurisdiction of the App's developers.
For questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact us through the support channel listed on your app store listing for Rafiqh, or via the Feedback option in the App settings.
